Charlotte was born in Elk Point and subsequently moved to Jefferson where she married John M. Ryan and raised their children. She was employed at Jefferson High School for a number of years while her children were in school.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husbands, John M. Ryan, and Earl H. Schulz.
She is survived by her children, J. Michael Ryan(Sandra), James J. Ryan(Ann), Julianna M. Finzen, Kelly T. Ryan (Ann), Bradley P. Ryan ( Mary), M. Bridget Mayer (Bob), Laurie C. Ryan, Elizabeth A. Wetering (Bill), and Patricia James. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, an avid card player, and a diehard fan of the Minnesota Twins. Charlotte loved her family and loved her friends and will be greatly missed. She was a woman of great faith and kindness.
