A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 1995, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sherwood.

Mrs. Schuldheisz died Oct. 2 at age 83.

She was born Oct. 22, 1911, in Chicago. Her maiden name was Streufert. In the early 1920s she moved to St. Louis.

She completed secretarial training before working for Collier's Magazine for two years. She then began working for her father, who was secretary of missions for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as well as working at Concordia Publishing House.

In 1937 she married Benjamin Schuldheisz. She assisted in his 40-year ministry in Lutheran churches in Oregon and Washington. He died in 1976.

Mrs. Schuldheisz held several offices in the Good Shephered Auxiliary and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Surviving are her daughters, Rhoda Spidal of Gaston, Anita Eller of Portland, Karla Deal of Gresham and Rebecca Miller of La Masa, Calif.; sons, Daniel of Kennewick, Wash., Paul of Gresham and Joel of Portland; brothers, Arthur Streufert of Roseville, Minn., and Waldemar Streufert of Effingham, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
