Gladys Norma (Haukedahl) Frahm, age 84, of Sebeka, Minnesota, died at her home in rural Sebeka December 6, 2012 surrounded by the love of her family. Gladys was born on November 23, 1928 in Audubon, Minnesota to Nordahl and Mina (Jacobson) Haukedahl. She grew up in Audubon, Minnesota with her twin brother Glenn and seven other siblings and graduated from Audubon High School. She worked at Standard Oil in Fargo, North Dakota. She met Stanley Frahm at the Crystal Ballroom in Fargo and they were united in marriage on May 5, 1951. They lived in Fargo until 1953 then moved to a farm in rural Sebeka where they farmed and raised their seven children. Besides being a homemaker, Gladys was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in North Germany Township. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the church ladies aid. She was a 4-H leader for the East Jolly Jets 4-H club for a number of years and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sebeka and the Jolly Homemakers. She worked with Geraldine Skaro painting and cleaning houses. She loved sewing, gardening, canning and having coffee with her friends. She was an excellent cook and loved to sing, play the piano, and dance with Stan. Most of all she loved it when her kids and grandkids came to visit. Gladys is survived by her husband of 61 years, Stanley; seven children Dennis (Mary) Frahm of Moorhead, Minnesota; Vicky (Roger) Tuorila of Sebeka, Minnesota; Claudia Frahm, Moorhead, Minnesota; Lee Frahm of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; Brenda (Gaylan) Witt, Henning, Minnesota; Peter (Karen) Frahm of Granite Falls, Minnesota and Luanna (Mike) Lake of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren, Cassandra (Lyle) Frahm, Tanya (Ted) Kern, Trevor (Heidi) Tuorila, Joshua Frahm, Sarah (Aaron) Stefanich, Jesse (Rachael) Witt, Jonah Witt, Rory Witt, Chelsea (John) Baker, Aaron (Melinda) Frahm, Ryan Frahm, Jacob Lake and Brady Lake; 9 great grand children; one sister, Elinor Gilbertson of Fargo, North Dakota; and many cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Nordahl and Mina Haukedahl; brothers Irving, Lloyd, Norman, Ernest and twin brother Glenn; sister Isabelle (Gilbertson) Hille; and granddaughter Tiffany Frahm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka,MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment services will be held at the Zion Cemetery, North Germany Township.
