John Joseph Hatfield, 33, of Lundale, formerly of Sanford, NC, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home. He was born March 12, 1979, at South Williamson, KY, the son of Peggy Daniels Hale of Lorado and Terry Joseph Hatfield of Sydney, KY.

John was preceded in death by
his step-father, Jack Blankenship;
his maternal grandparents, Roy and Eurie Slone Daniels;
his paternal grandfather, John Lee Hatfield;
one uncle, Danny Ray Daniels;
his step-grandfather, Leo Blankenship.

He was a disabled construction worker. John was saved and baptized while living in Sanford, NC and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his son Colin.

Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are
one son, Colin Jackie Hatfield of Sanford, NC;
his ex-wife, Rachael Hatfield of Sanford, NC;
one sister, Misty Dawn Hatfield of Sanford, NC;
one brother with whom he made his home, Kevin Roy Hatfield of Lundale;
his paternal grandmother, Joyce Dew Hatfield of Sydney, KY;
his step-grandmother, Mary Blankenship;
his mother's husband, Gordon Hale of Lorado;
many aunts, uncles, and cousins along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service at the Becco United Baptist Church at Becco with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial in Home Sweet Home Cemetery at Lorado.
