Services for Charles Staack, 89, Vinton, who died Friday morning at Lutheran Homes, Vinton, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church under the direction of Rev. Garth Baker.
Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Gill Memorial Home.
Mr. Staack was born Mar. 13, 1884 in Germany to Fritz and Elizabeth Preuss Staack, coming to the Wilton area a year later. He lived here until two years ago.
He married Amelia Sindt Jan. 15, 1918 in Davenport, and was a member of the Zion Lutheran church.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Herbert, Moscow, and Robert, Beloit, Wisc.; a brother, Julius, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and three sisters.
