RAENITA M CARTER

God called another angel home, Raenita Morris Carter, 80, on Friday Oct 12, 2012, in her home peacefully after a long six-month battle with cancer.
She moved to Prince George, Va., in March 2010, to care for her grandchildren while her daughter was deployed to Afghanistan. She was born in Shenandoah, Va., to the late Una and Lucy Morris.
She made many friends here in the Tri-City area and was loved by all that met her. She loved her family, friends, flowers and animals unconditionally. She always had you leaving her presence with a smile on your face. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Ms. Carter is preceded in death by her son, Norman Ray (Sean) Carter II; brothers, Earl and Roy Morris; and sister Eloise Bosc.
She is survived by sister, Larita Shuler of Stanley, Va; brother Carl Morris of Dunn Loring, Va.; son, Broc Morris Carter and wife, Alicia of Prescott Valley, Ariz; daughter Lis O'Quinn Brown of Prince George, Va.; six grandchildren, Eric Bouchard, Joshua Carter, Nicole Carter of Phoenix, Brian Carter of Chicago, Sean and Sarah Brown of Prince George, Va.; great-granddaughters, Terra and Jolie of Phoenix; and close friend Jim Ringler of Prince George.
Memorila service will be held at 1;30 p.m. Sunday Oct 21, 2012, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4512 Virginia St. Hopewell, Va., by Pastor Kenneth Hendricks. Interment services will be private following in Grove Hill, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond Hospice or Woodlawn Baptist Church.
