Magna-Dard Lynn Stewart was born June 21, 1927 in Richfield, Utah to Lynn and Maurine Nielsen Stewart. Dard passed away peacefully December 29, 2012 while surrounded by his family. He attended Cyprus High School and then went on to work for Kennecott Copper Corp. at the Powerhouse and retired after 43 years of service.Dard married the love of his life Irene Losser on September 14, 1945. He loved riding horses and being in the outdoors. The cowboy way of life was his way. Dardy was one of the best story tellers of his time.
Dard is survived by his sons; Danny (Ellen), Randy (Pam), Paul (Charlotte), Chad (Tina), brother, Bob (Sharon), sisters; Uzella Wright, Gloria (Bob) Moore, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 60 years, brother, Niels, sister, Cleora.
We will miss you Dardy, but rest assured your sons and grandchildren will carry on your "Cowboy Traditions".
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, January 4, 2013 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna. Visitations will be 6-8 pm, Thursday January 3, 2013 and Friday 10-10:45 am prior to services. Interment: Pleasant Green Cemetery. Condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
