Obituary: On Tuesday February 8, 1944 Mrs Alois Brickl Sr. was laid to rest with all the honors of the Catholic Church in St. Luke's cemetery at Plain, Wisconsin. The solemn requiem high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Brickl, Potosi, assisted by the Rev. Frank Brickl, Eastman, as deacon, the Rev. Lawrence Bindl, Pine Hollow as sub-deacon and the Rev. P. A. Beschta, pastor as master of ceremonies. Her death terminated 67 years of married life. She was born of Ignatz and Catherine Bindl on Dec. 20, 1856 at Treffelstein, Bavaria. She immigrated with her parents to America at the age of 6 years [June 8, 1863] coming to Wisconsin where they lived on a farm in the town of Franklin in Sauk County. On October 5, 1876 she was united in marriage to Alois Brickl, in St. Luke's Catholic Church at Plain. They were blessed with seven children, five of whom survive her, as also her husband, thirty seven grandchildren and thirty nine great grandchildren. One daughter, Ann died in infancy and Mrs. Victoria Liegel preceded her in death ten years ago. The surviving children are: Mrs. Alois Weiss, Sauk City; Joseph W. Brickl and Anton J.
