Mrs. Joyce Julia Makomaski (nee Kneipp), 74, of Union passed away at home on Jan. 23, 2009.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, Jan. 26, at 12 noon at the Union Funeral Home-Lytwyn & Lytwyn, 1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union. Interment will be at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.

Born in Newark, Joyce lived most of her life in Union. She was a school crossing guard for the Union Board of Education for eight years, retiring last year. She was a member of the Rainbow Club of St. Joseph's Church in Maplewood.

She was the beloved wife of Henry Anthony and the devoted mother of Henry Walter, Anthony James, John Henry, Christine and Stella. She was the loving grandmother of Charles, Amanda, Christopher, Amber, Jessica, Lucia, Giavanna and Larisa, and the dear sister of Walter Kneipp.
