Vivian Caroline Weishaupt, 90, of Greeley, CO. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday night, Dec. 27, 2012 under the care of Hospice of Greeley.

The daughter of Adolph Hertzke and Margaret nee Seibold, Vivian was born on April 3, 1922 in Humboldt, Sask. They moved to Iowa, then Boulder where she graduated from High School. Her family moved to Greeley where she graduated from Colorado State College of Education (now UNC) with a degree in Business Education. She taught business education in several High Schools during her teaching career.

Through the Luther League of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Vivian met Chuck Weishaupt from Ohio in 1941. They married in 1946, and she helped Chuck establish Lutheran mission churches shore to shore. Upon their retirement from that ministry, they came home to Greeley in 1976 and opened Colorado Christian Supply.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church & active in her women's circle.

Vivian was known for her cooking, sewing, directing Sunday School & Vacation Bible School, holiday parties, and volunteering for any occasion. She was a devoted wife and mother and a kind friend to all she knew. She loved spending time with her family in the mountains and on vacation.

Her family includes husband Chuck Weishaupt of Greeley; son Herb Weishaupt of Greeley; daughter Carole and husband Russel Krueger of New Braunfels, TX; grandson Ken and wife Melinda Andrews of Greeley, granddaughter Tami (Andrews) and husband Keith Grant of LaSalle; grandson Daniel and wife Jessica Andrews of Windsor; great grandchildren Kane Salazar & Kyah Grant , Kelton and Colbie Andrews; brothers Luverne Hertzke of Greeley, Lawrence and wife Betty Hertzke of Greeley and Eugene and wife Mary Hertzke of Millwood, WA; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents Adolph & Margaret Hertzke, daughter Connie Andrews, and infant granddaughter Kimberly Krueger.
