Mrs. Martha Ellen Smith Wilson, 55, of Rocky Ridge, died Monday, May 6, at home.

She was the wife of Wesley W. Wilson Sr. They were married Feb. 8, 1957.

Born May 28, 1940, in Lantz, she was a daughter of the late Albert William and Edith Leona Lewis Smith.

Mr.s Wilson was a member of AMVETS Post 7 ladies auxiliary, Thurmont; Edwin C. Creeger Jr. Post 168, American Legion ladies auxiliary, Thurmont; the South Mountain Rod & Gun Club ladies auxiliary, Smithsburg; the Blue Ridge Sportsmen's Association, Fairfield, Pa.; and a life member of the North American Hunting Club.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Wesley W. Wilson Jr. of Rocky Ridge; one daghter, Kathey E. Goladay and husband Guy H. of Brunswick; two granddaughters, Nadena M. Goladay and Nicole B. Goladay; nine sisters, Marie Wilhide of Boonsboro, Irene Sanders of Waynesboro, Pa., Edna Pittinger of Thurmont, Beulah Rice of Frederick, Hazel Smith of Asheville, N.C., Nancy Stottlemyer of Sabillasville, Betty Burrier of Rocky Ridge, Margie Patterson of Baltimore and Cora Kuhn of Smithsburg; three brothers, Jerome Smith of Emmitsburg, Calvin Smith of Cavetown and John Smith of Abbeville, La.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Smith, Goldie Lear and Pauline Lantz, and two brothers, Clifford Smith and Elwood Smith.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Thurmont funeral home of Robert E. Dailey & Son, 615 E. Main St., where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral seravices will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard A. Zamostny will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.

Memorial donantions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, Md. 21701, or the charity of one's choice.
