Miss Rita Marie Kijek, 19, Kohler Mill Rd., New Oxford, died at the Hanover Hospital Sunday morning at 9:40. She suffered an aneurism of the heart and was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday.
A native of Gettysburg, she was a daughter of Alexander F. and Rita M (Baker) Kijek of New Oxford. She was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, with the class of 1966, of which she was salutatorian, and attended St. Francis College, Loretto, Pa., where she was on the dean's list as a result of her freshman year.
She was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception church, New Oxford.
Surviving in addition to her parents are these brothers and sisters: ist Lt. Anthony F. Kijek, Tampa, Fla; Bernard L. Kijek, at home and Margaret Kijek, at home; grandmothers, Mrs. Francis Kijek, Wilkes-Barre and Mrs. Francis Baker, Hanover.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford at 9:30 to go to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford for the Requiem Mass at 10 o'clock at which the Rev. Fr. Alexius Arnoldin will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Vincent's Cemetery, Hanover.
