Prominent Citizen Dies After Illness Of Month
Conrad Cage, Sr., 64, of 107 Ludwig avenue, died early Friday after a month's illness. He was a machinist with the Illinois Central Railroad for some years but for the past 15 years has been with the United Gas Pipeline Company.
There will be a Rosary service held at the house Friday at 8 p.m. After a short service at the residence Saturday at 9:30 a.m. there will be a mass of requiem held in St. Paschal's Catholic Church in West Monroe with Rev. Arsenius Gatzemeier officiating.
The funeral arrangements will be directed by the Mulhearn Funeral Home and Pallbearers will be: W. G. Miller, J. G. Hicks, S. E. Morris, J. J. Devereaux, M. J. Renaud, W. G. Dorris, Fred P. Johnson, Jr. and E. E. White.
Mr. Cage is survived by his wife and seven children: Conrad Cage, Jr., West Monroe; Shelby Cage, Monroe; Mrs. T. D. Mingledorff, Monroe; Mrs. Paul Meyer, Houston, Tex.; John D. Cage, Gladewater, Tex.; Mrs. J. S. Trichel, Jackson, Miss.; and Miss Marie Cage, West Monroe; a brother, J. S. Cage, El Paso, Tex.; and a sister, Mrs. Minola Brown, Willow Brook, Calif.
