Born in Millville, she was a lifelong resident and a member of the Second U. Methodist Church.
She had worked for Wheaton Glass Co. for 25 years and retired in 1982. She was a member of the GMP Union Local No. 219.
She was a member of the Nabb-Leslie American Legion Post No. 82 Auxiliary, and a member of the Cumberland Salon No. 628.
After her retirement she volunteered at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home for many years. She was an avid word and number puzzle worker.
She is survived by three sons, Harry Thornborough Jr. and wife Carol of Millville, Jack Thornborough and wife Mary Jane of West Deptford, and Robert Thornborough and wife Florence of Millville; one sister, Janet Blanck of Millville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Thornborough Sr.; two brothers, Edmund Geissler Jr. and Earl Geissler; and five sisters, Elizabeth Bartholomew, Alice Cossaboon, Doris Peterson, Lillian Quinn, and Marcella Geissler.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Christy Funeral Home, 11 W. Broad St., Millville. There will be a viewing from before the service.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.
