He was the son of Fred and Helen (Walterbusch) Luebke. On Aug 10, 1946, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, he married Rosalee E. Schemmel, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sons: Jim (Diane), Westlake, Dan, New Bremen, Larry (Jenny), Minster, and Bruce (Ann), Celina; four daughters: Nancy (Joe) Bruns, Sandy (Larry) Hoying, Brenda (Craig) Sherman and Elaine (Roy) Brown, all Minster; two sisters: Irene (Tom) Woehrmyer, Minster, and Jeanette (Lee) Moeder, Maria Stein; three sisters-in-law; Mary Ann Luebke, Celina, JoAnn Luebke, Ft. Loramie, and Della Mae Luebke, Coldwater; and twenty-seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, David; a daughter-in-law, Ann Luebke; a granddaughter, Johanna Hoying; three brothers: Alvin, Greg and Paul; and two sisters: Luetta Schemmel and Marie Wente.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Minster V.F.W., American Legion and F.O.E. #1391, the Cataract Fire Company, Lake Loramie Improvement Assoc. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and retired from Minster from Minster Machine 25 years ago.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating.
