Fort Wayne. She was part owner and operator of SimmersMarket in Collamer
for seven years and also managed St. Vincent de Paul Store for several
years. Her husband, Dewey, died in 1991. Surviving are her sons, Les of
Columbia City and Ben of Arcadia, La.; daughters Carolyn Garwood of Key
Biscayne, Fla., and Marolyn Watson of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; brother Lynn McFarren of Roanoke; and sister Mary
Hecox of Washington State. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Smith and
Sons Funeral Home,Columbia City, where calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9
p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville.
