Leopold Eberle was born on January 1, 1860 in St Joseph, Clark Co, IN. His father, Adam, was 26 and his mother, Johanna Schindler, was 21. He married Mary Magdelena "Lena" Schehr on August 14, 1883, in Louisville, Kentucky. They had five children during their marriage, and spent much of their married life farming land near Taylorsville Rd and Breckinridge Ln. Leopold died on September 12, 1943, at the age of 83, and was buried in Louisville, Kentucky. Lena followed him 6 days later, on Sept 18, 1943. They are buried in same plot with Lena's parents Franz and Catharina Schehr.
