Marjorie was born June 25, 1935 to Andrew Adolph Adamsen and Hazel Monk in Correctionville, Iowa. Her family moved to the Storm Lake area and Marge graduated from Hayes Consolidated School in 1953.

On November 15, 1953, Marge was united in marriage to Robert Duane Lyman at the Methodist Church in Newell, Iowa. Their union was blessed with six children: Mardel, Mitchel, Mary Lou, Michael, Merlin and Mark. In addition to making a warm and comfortable home for her family, Marge also , for a time, was a restaurant owner until she retired in March of 2000. She was a member of the Storm Lake United Methodist Church.

Marge enjoyed dining out, casino trips and participating in her card club. She loved the companionship she shared with her dear friend Lyle Peters. Above all, Marge loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She enjoyed simple times together, the holidays and special events, as well as traveling to visit her family members. Her presence will be dearly missed.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Lyman; her mother, Hazel Monk; her father Andrew Adamsen; brother Arlen; and her father-in-law and
mother-in-law, Dean and Helen Lyman.
