Ernest Lueth, 604 East Bismark road, was found dead in the front seat of his automobile in the family garage Friday evening. Investigating authorities state he was the victim of carbon monoxide gas. After investigation by Sheriff Dan Sanders and County Attorney Kelly, it was revealed no inquest would be held. It was stated that Mrs. Lueth found her husband on her return to the home Friday evening. He was slumped over in the front seat of the car, with the motor running and the door of the garage closed, she stated. She called neighbors who removed him to the open air, but all efforts at resuscitation failed. The car had not been driven since Christmas. The hood of the car was up when it was found, the motor was running, and tools found lying on the running board.

Ernest Lueth was born in Pronsdorf, Schleswig Holstein, Germany, April 7, 1875, and came to America as a young man. On August 19, 1899, he was married to Miss Martha Bosseck of this city. Mr. Lueth had been a member of the local fire department at one time. He operated the city delivery service for ten years. He was a past president of the Sons of Hermann, and at one time was their field representative. He was active in the work of the Plattduesche Heim.

Surviving him are his wife, two sons, Ernest of Colorado Springs, and Hans of this city; two daughters, Mrs. James Dalton of Kokomo, Ind., and Mrs. Fritz Wagner of this city, seven grandchildren, two cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Livingston-Sondermann funeral home, with Rev. C. B. Harman of the St. Paul's English Lutheran church officiating. Burial was in the Grand Island cemetery.
