He was born August 5, 1928 in Anderson, the son of the late Elias and Mildred (Dilts) Alatza. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1946 and was a member of the cross country and track state championship team. He was a lifelong Anderson resident, served in the US Army and was owner of Alatza Real Estate & Appraisal Service.
Paul was past 3 time president of Anderson Madison County Board of Realtors and a member of AHEPA.
He is survived by his son, Rex Alatza of Anderson; three step children, Richard (wife, Kimberly) Walker of Pendleton, Dorian (husband, Mark) Lawler of Apollo Beach, FL and Michael (wife, Pamela) Walker of Anderson; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brother, George (wife, Judy) Alatza of Fort Wayne; sister, Evelyn Wiley of Warsaw; and special friend, Kelly Summers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene J. Alatza; and sister, Elaine Paris.
The family would like to thank Countryside Manor for all their care and compassion.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
