She was born April 5, 1928, in Pittsfield Mass., and met her husband in Boston. They lived and traveled throughout Europe after WWII; two of her five children were born in Paris. They settled in Lutherville, Md., to raise their five children and spent their summers at Lake Winnipesaukee, N.H.
Rita was a district manager for World Book Encyclopedia and was passionate about education. She loved family, friends and spending time with her grandchildren. An excellent letter writer who enjoyed creative writing and acting, entertaining friends and family at the lake, picking blueberries, cooking, baking and reading.
Following their retirement they moved to Quincy Village, Pa., and forged many special relationships with the members of the Quincy Village Retirement community and Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
