Son of Bernardo Rybarczyk and Justina Latos.

There were two families of Rybarczyks living in the New London, Wisconsin area, that of Nicholas (who went by Michael) and his older brother Paul Rybarczyk. Each family later Americanized the family name, Paul choosing "Rebarchek" and Michael going with "Rebarchik."

Michael's family moved from Independence to New London sometime between 1888 and 1895 and to Beaver in 1900 where Michael purchased a farm house and he lived for the remainder of his life before succumbing to tuberculosis at age 78.

DEATH NOTICE: AGED BEAVER MAN LONG TIME SICK, DIES THIS FORENOON.

Paul Thetreau received a telphone message from Beaver this afternoon announcing the death of Michael Rebarchik, venerable father of Mrs. Thetreau, by whose illness she was called to Beaver a few days ago. He had been ill for four and a half years and his condition had been critical for some time. Death occurred at 11 o'clock this forenoon. The survivors include the widow and six children, Martin of Beaver, Anthony of Beaver, Mitchell of Goodman, Mrs. Jake Dura, Peshtigo Harbor, Mrs. Stanley Nowack, Crivitz, and Mrs. Paul Thetreau this city. The funeral will be held Monday morning from St. Leo's church in Pound. Mr. Thetreau went to Beaver this afternoon.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Final rites for Michael Rebarchik, pioneer resident of Beaver, Wis, who died on Friday, were held yesterday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Leo Church at Pound. The requiem high mass was sung by the Rev. Father P. J. Novitakie. The flowers were in charge of six of the grandchildren of Mr. Rebarchik, Teckla Dura, Cecilia Dura, Bernice Rebarchik, Eleanor Rebarchik, Leo Nowack and Paul Thetreau, Jr. The casket was borne by three sons and three sons-in-laws, Martin Rebarchik, Michael Rebarchik, Toney Rebarchik, Jake Dura, Stanley Nowack and Paul Thetreau. There are 29 grandchildren in the family. Interment was made in the St. Leo Cemetery. The out-of-town people there to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kluchike (SIC) of New London, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Kluchike of West Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rebarchik and two daughters of Goodman; Mr. and Mrs. P.W. Thetreau and son Junior of Marinette; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dura and two daughters, Walter Dura, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dura, daughter and son, and Mrs. John Dura, Sr., all of Marinette. The church was filled to the door with friends paying final respect to the departed.
