She is survived by her children, Leah (Fred) Matthias, Marla (Harry) Magiera, Janice (Armand) Daniels and Rob (Carmen Fogleman) Yancey; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Lewis Osterbur.
She spent her childhood in Ridgeville and attended Onarga High School.
On graduating from Bradley University in Peoria, she moved to Chicago to work in a research department of Armour & Co., where she met Robert. Eventually they lived in Paxton, where Robert owned the Shelby Grain Co. and where she taught home economics for many years at Paxton High School. During that time she obtained her master's degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Paxton.
