Phil H. Decker, 77, of Ripon died Thursday at his home.
Mr. Decker was a native of Oklahoma. He lived in Manteca since 1959 before moving to Ripon in 1996. He was a warehouseman for Sharpe Army Depot, Lathrop, for 12 years. He served in the Army in the 7th Calvary Division during World War II; he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1051.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Decker of Ripon; children, Maya Decker of Dana Point, Sam Decker of Brentwood and Phyllis Thompson of Ripon; brothers, Paul Decker of Arkansas and Bill Decker of Oklahoma; sisters, Virginia Cooper and Louise Fulps, both of Oklahoma, Katherine Greenfield of Arkansas and Dorothy Gilberck of Florida; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ripon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at P.L. Fry & Son, Manteca.
