Mary Michael (nee Karpinski) Abt (1951-2013) Obituary
A remembrance service for Mary Michael (nee Karpinski) Abt, 61, of Bainbridge Township, will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Zele Funeral Home, 452 E. 152 St., Cleveland.
Mrs. Abt passed away Jan. 19, 2013, at her residence.
Born Aug. 5, 1951, in Cleveland, she had lived there before moving to Bainbridge Township 30 years ago.
She was a member of the Bainbridge Women's Club of Bainbridge Township, Fieldstone Farms Therapeutic Riding Center in Chagrin Falls and Alliance of Poles Group No. 71.
Mary had worked as a word processing supervisor at the law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue, for 20 years, retiring in 2002.
Survivors are her husband of 43 years, Raymond C.; son, Jon (wife, Melanie, nee McDonnell); daughter, Jessica (husband, Andy Jones) Abt; and most devoted sisters, Theresa Karpinski and Tina (Sutty) Girod.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanore Karpinski.
Mary had also been a pet parent to many cats and dogs, but most especially, Jasmine "Jazzy," a Great Dane rescue dog.
A remembrance gathering will be held from noon to 4 pm. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the funeral home. For questions or additional information, please call Sutton Girod at 216-210-5096. Private family interment of cremains will be held at a later date.
