She was born June 17, 1932 in Deer Creek, a daughter of Dan Sr. and Lena Aberle Wiegand. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lois Wiegand; three brothers, Ken, Willis and Robert Wiegand and one brother-in-law, Sam Blunier. She married Roy Hangartner on Nov. 1, 1953 in Goodfield. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Dan (Donna) Hangartner and Mark (Karen) Hangartner; one daughter, Lena (Wes) Kieser; two brothers, Daniel Jr. (Verla) Wiegand and Elton (Loretta) Wiegand; three sisters, Elizabeth Blunier, Charlene (Bob) Schumacher and Margaret (Melvin) Getz; three sisters-in-law, Helen Wiegand, Beth Wiegand and Betty Wiegand; nine grandchildren, Michael, Joy, Grant (Martha), Logan (Ashley), Kyle (Melissa) Hangartner; and Ty (Katelyn) Kieser, Maria, Lance and Julia Kieser and eight great-grandchildren, Brodie, Crew, Damon, Taevin, Titus, Jaycee, Arawen and Tellan.
She graduated from the Illinois Central College LPN program 40 years ago and worked at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and the Eureka Apostolic Christian Nursing Home.
Norma was a member of the Eureka Apostolic Christian Church and the Eureka Hospital Auxiliary.
Norma touched many lives and was always fun to be with. Her family and friends meant so much to her. Most importantly, Norma loved the Lord.
