Margie M. Berk, age 88, of Zumbrota, died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
She was born on June 14, 1924, in Wabasha County, the daughter of Herman and Lydia (Gruhlke) Behm. Margie lived in Mazeppa and graduated from Mazeppa High School. On March 3, 1945, she married Oliver Berk at the Wesleyan Church in Zumbrota. Margie was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Margie is survived Linda (Lowell) Riker of Red Wing, Nancy (Tim) Prins of Isanti, Jean Berk of Zumbrota; grandchildren, Steven (Becky) Riker, Karen (Josh) Klindworth, Nathan Prins, Luke (Kristen) Prins, Caleb Prins, Joel (Erin) Prins, Adam Prins; six great- grandchildren and soon to be blessed with two more; brother, William (Lillian) Behm of Bloomington; nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver; parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Delores Behm.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Pastor Eric Westlake officiating. Burial will be in the Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were made with Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel in Zumbrota.
