MRS PRENTICE DIES; OIL MAN'S WIFE, 41

Mrs Lola Pierce Prentice of Southampton LI and San Francisco, wife of Spelman Prentice, who is a grandson of John D Rockefeller and an independent oil producer, died Monday at her California home. She was 41 years old.

Mrs. Prentice was born in New York and attended Vassar College. She was married to Mr Prentice in Palm Beach Fla, Mar 18, 1953. Both had been previously married and divorced.

She was member of the boards of the San Francisco Opera Association and the San Francisco Ballet,

Surviving, besides her husband, are a son Jeffrey Rockefeller Prentice; two children by her previous marriage, Gregory and Jacqueline Noyes; her parents, Mrs. Jacques Maisch of New York and Southampton and H Denny Pierce of Tenafly, NJ, and a brother Charles D Pierce. She is also survived by four step-children: Peter S Prentice of San Francisco, Michael S Prentice of Middlebury VT, Mrs Franz ten Bos of London and Mrs Guillermo Palmer of Buenos Aires.
