ALICE KATHRYN HOLMESLEY WILLIAMS
Alice was born on August 1, 1875 in a covered wagon, two days before her parents, Levi and Aly Means Holmesley, entered Arizona. They arrived at Woolsey Stage Station, Humboldt, but later moved to Tempe.
Alice was graduated from the Normal School at Tempe and taught in Arizona schools until she married Josiah Williams on August 10,1902 in Tempe. Her mother and her sisters, Emily, Georgia, Celeste Blake, and Mary Lucinda Walker, are also represented in the Rose Garden.
Alice died on 7 May 1951 in Mesa.
