Mrs. Ruby Gazaway Felker, 92, of Dalton died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004.
Mrs. Felker was born April 13, 1911, in Redwine Cove to the late Allen and Timie Redwine Gazaway. She was the wife of the late Merrick Edward "Ed" Felker; mother of the late Wilbur Randolph "Randy" Felker. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois G. Campbell and brothers, Frederick Gazaway, Tillman Gazaway, Ben Gazaway and Fenton "Bob" Gazaway.
Mrs. Felker was an active member of First Assembly of God. She worked at Crown Cotton Mill and Edgewood Chenille. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved cooking and sewing for her family and many friends.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Donald Felker and Gelaine of Dalton, Kirby and Tatiana Felker of Gulf Shores, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Brad Beavers of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; three sisters, Avaleen G. Chadwick of Adamstown, Md., Mable G. Stoner and Imogene G. Smith, both of Dalton; sister-in-law, Flora Lee Gazaway of Dalton; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Kerry and Lt. Col. Joel Manning of Spokane, Wash., Clay and Christine Felker of McDonough, Camberly and Chandler Coe of Marietta, Tony and Kerri Felker of Dalton, Cristan and David Haliburton of Marietta, Melissa and Mark Crawford of Villa Rica, Traci Bratcher and Kelly Beavers Smtih of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Heather, Joely, Delaney, Aidan, Thelonious, Blake, Katilyn, Kyle, Zach, Taylor, Hunter and Peyton; numerous nephews and nieces.
Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Murphy and pastor Ted Miller officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family received friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday.
