Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hodgson Funeral Home Ltd., Rock Island. The body will be cremated. Inurnment is in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
Visitation is 1 p.m. to service time. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice Program.
Mr. Stoye was born May 30, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Frank and Jessie May Morrison Stoye. He married Linda Petterson May 4, 1968, in Rock Island.
He retired as a machinist from Rock Island Arsenal. He previously had worked as a mold-maker at Alton Glass.
He was a member of East Moline Moose Lodge.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
He enjoyed all Chicago sports, fishing, and gardening.
Survivors include the widow; daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Jeff Thomas, Green Rock, and Lieschen "Kaylie'' Adams, Milan; sons and daughters-in-law Marlin "Marty'' and Diana Stoye, Rock Island, and Robert Stoye Jr., Carbon
Cliff; four grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Stoye Thornton, Alton, Ill.
