U.S. Veteran Harold "Jim" Krenz, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Florida Hospital in Zephyrhills, Florida. Age 74 years. Son of the late Alexander and Emilie (Miller) Krenz, Harold was born May 16, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army. Jim married Sharon Ritter on August 15, 1964. She survives him. Jim was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear for 31 years and a member of U.A.W. Local #699. He was also a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Carrollton Eagles, Moose Lodge #82, Am Vets #550 in Florida. Jim enjoyed going to Florida in the winter for 15 years and especially spending time with family and friends.

Surviving besides his wife Sharon are two daughters and one son, Terry Krenz, Grand Rapids; Colleen and Scott Taylor, Saginaw; Karen and Mark Pietrzak, Saginaw; four grandchildren, Rick and Allison Taylor, Kayla and Kelsey Pietrzak; two sisters, Nancy and Lupe Leal, Saginaw; Carol Beyersdorf, Saginaw; his brother-in-law, Howard and Diane Ritter, Munger; a sister-in-law, Sharon Krenz, Saginaw; special friends, Tony and Joanne; many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Krenz.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4640 N. Michigan, Saginaw. Pastor Phil DeVries will officiate with private burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
