Mrs. Anna Fiebiger, 69, for many years a dressmaker with a business on State street, passed away Sunday morning at an Owatonna Rest Home. She had been an invalid for the past seven years. Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon at St. John's American Lutheran church with the Rev. P. W. Pilgrim officiating at two o'clock. Earlier, a family service was held at the Pfaff Chapel at 1:30. Burial was in Woodville cemetery. Mrs. Fiebiger was born Anna Marie Spies in Waseca county July 9, 1889. Her parents were the late William and Edith Spies. For nearly 35 years, Mrs. Fiebiger and her late husband, Leopold, operated a tailoring and dressmaking business and when he died in 1938, Mrs. Fiebiger kept up the business until seven years ago. Surviving are her five sons and a daughter: Edward, Waseca, Leopold, Waseca; Sylvester, Faribault; Mrs. Hubert Chesney (Marian), Owatonna; and William and Donald, Waseca. She also leaves six brothers and two sisters, namely, Henry and Walter Spies, Waseca; Herb Spies, Meriden; Leonard Spies, Owatonna; Sylvester Spies, Owatonna; William Spies, St. Peter; Mrs. Darrel Wright, Hopkins; and Mrs. Vern Danker, Owatonna. Pallbearers were six members of the Waseca Fire Department.
