PETER H. STEUVEN

Peter H. Steuven born on the 3rd of January 1857, in Osterbruch, near Oterndorff, Germany. Married to Miss Margaret Elizabeth Hensch, November 28, 1887.

Came to America March 1893 and lived on several farms in this neighborhood. For a while he lived on a farm near Boyden, 17 years on "Rev. W. Breike's? farm and since 1916 on his own farm 4 miles northwest of St. John's church.

...At 9 o'clock Sunday evening he peacefully fell asleep, reaching the ripe age of 75 years and 7 days. He leaves to mourn his loss his bereaved wife, three sons, Carl, August, Henry and one daughter, who lives near Pipestone, Minnesota; 13 grandchildren and one brother and one sister in Germany.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, at one o'clock at the home, and at two o'clock in St. John's church.
