Teresa Jean (Teri) (Verheyen) Hardel, 53, of Oconto, formerly of Berlin, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Oconto Hospital and Medical Center of Oconto.

Teri was born on October 8, 1959, in Berlin, the daughter of Raymond Herman and Barbara Jean (Viertel) Verheyen.

She is a graduate of the Berlin High School with the class of 1978.

She married Daniel Hardel on October 18, 1981, in Green Lake and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2008.

She was a great loving and caring wife and mother to her entire family and she will be truly missed. Teri enjoyed crocheting, gardening, tending her flowers, animals, being in a pool league and dart team and she also loved to hunt.

She is a member of the Saint John Lutheran Church of Berlin.

Teri is survived by her special friend, Art; along with her children, Casey (Melissa) Verheyen, Fond du Lac; Christy Martinez and Danielle (Benjamin) Barron Jr.; both of Berlin; and Jess (fiancée, Kelly) Hardel, Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Owen, Sydney, Addison, Jesus, Trynadee, Kehanna and Wilhelm; her brother, Dirk (Deena) Verheyen; her sisters, Susan (Gerald) Thom, Mary (Douglas) Nighbor and Lisa Verheyen, all of Berlin; mother-in-law, Joan Hardel, Berlin; and sisters- in-law, Judy (Allen) Teske, Cathy (Jeff) Herbst, Patti Lewellyn and brothers-in-law, Mark (Connie) Hardel and David Hardel, also other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Verheyen on July 2, 2004 and Barbara Verheyen on June 26, 2009, her husband Daniel, her brother, Peter John, her sister, Renee Ann Stemler and her father-in- law, Clifford Hardel on May 17, 2001.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Saint John Lutheran Church of Berlin with the Pastor Bryan Lundquist officiating and following the services she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Daniel at the Pine Grove Cemetery of Auroraville
