Bernard E Strunk, 88, of Villa Hills, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired vice president of sales at Saalfeld Paper Company, and an Army veteran of World War II where he was a tank commander under General Patton.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright, Friends of Notre Dame, St. Charles Auxiliary, and former Scout leader and knothole coach.
His wives, Stella Saalfeld Strunk and Cora Schmidt Broering Strunk, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Gwynn Ferrell Strunk; sons, Robert Strunk of Edgewood, John Strunk of Middletown, Ohio, and Mike Strunk of Fort Mitchell; daughters, Sister Mary Ellen Strunk, S.N.D., of Alexandria, Anne Gruber of Seattle, Wash., and Lynn Listes of Memphis, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright.
Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Mother of God Cemetery, Covington.
Memorials are suggested to the Jeff Strunk Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, Ky. 41011; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
