Funeral service for Elmer Peter Faulstich, 62, of rural Highmore, who died Saturday at St. John Regional Medical Center, Huron, were held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Savior Lutheran Church at Highmore. The Rev. Arthur Schmitt officiated. Burial was in the city cemetery.
He was born Sept. 15, 1910 in Hand County to Seibert and Ida Faulstich, he grew up and was educated in Ontario Township, Hand County. He married Christine Raske May 1, 1934. In 1937 they moved to a ranch in Hyde County where he resided until his death. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and president of the building committee and congregation of the church.
Faulstich is survived by his widow, Christine; four children, Donlin and James, both of Highmore, Mrs. George (Sharon) Hurd, North Odgen, Utah, and Mrs. Jerald (Patricia) Heckenliable, Madison; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Norbert, Highmore, Harvey of Orient and Walter, Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Katherine Matter, Faulkton, Mrs. R.H. (Golda) Maddox and Mrs. Henry (Meta) Zemlicka, both of Portland, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Carl (Nola) Heller.
