Born in Mechanicsburg, he was a lifelong resident of the Madison County area. He retired in 1963 from Delco-Remy Plant 11 after 45 years of service. He attended the Orestes Christian Church, and was a member of Senior Citizens, Killbuck Retirees and UAW Local 662.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Benefiel of Frankton, Mrs. Hubert (Lavonne) Shaw of Alexandria, Mrs. Beulah Prophet of Alexandria and Mrs. Dorothy Gruver of Muncie; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Friday at the Harold E. Rozelle Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold LaMar officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery near Yorktown.
