Oak Hill, Nov. 29 - Elmer Barnhart, 49, World War II veteran, died Friday at the veterans hospital in Huntington following a long illness. He had been a patient there for three weeks. An employe of a brick plant at Firebrick, he made his home with an aunt, Miss Louisa Barnhart of Firebrick. Other than his aunt, he is survived the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Emory King of Blackfork, Clarence Barnhart of Oak Hill, Allie Barnhart of Van Wert, Mrs. Howard Smith of Akron, Mrs. Orville Hughes of Sciotoville and Mrs. Virgil Hughes and Mrs. Everett Holback of Firebrick. Funeral services will be held at p.m. Sunday at the home of Miss Louisa Barnhart, Rev. H. B. Myers, officiating. Members of the Kent Metzler Post, American Legion, will hold military rites at the grave in Monroe Cemetery. Burial will be by Kuhner Funeral Home.
