Obituary, Paterson Daily Guardian, 3/22/1904.
DEATH OF MRS. BRAUN.
At the home of her son, Christian Braun, Mrs. Christian Braun died this morning at 12:15 o'clock. Bronchial trouble was the immediate cause of death, but a complication of diseases has long made the venerable old lady a sufferer. Mrs. Braun, who before her marriage was Miss Christina Schilling, was united with Christian Braun in this city fifty-four years ago, and has since resided here. She was always prominent in German society circles, and was noted for her geniality and kindly disposition. She recently celebrated the seventy-first anniversary of her birth, and despite the fact that she was an invalid at the time, no member of the family entered into the spirit of the festivities more than she herself. She is survived by two sons, former Mayor Christian Braun and Louis Braun. Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
Death notice, Paterson Daily Guardian, 3/23/1904.
