Stoeffler died at his home at 12:30 p.m., Friday, the day being his 80th birthday. He was a native of Germany and had been a resident of Putnam County for 17 years, coming from Douglas, Ga. He was a retired merchant.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Lee Morris Stoeffler; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Phiel and Mr. Claudia Key; three sons, William Franklin, Norman and Robert L. Stoeffler, all of Palatka; a brother, William Stoeffler, Jr., Oakland, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Palatka Daily News, Saturday, 1 Mar 1958.
Funeral services were held at the Francis Baptist Church today at 2 p.m. Burial was in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
