William Ross Damery, 75, of Blue Mound, died 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (April 27, 1994) in his residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with visitation after 5 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, near Blue Mound. Memorials: Blue Mound Masonic Lodge 682 AF&AM.

Mr. Damery was born in Boody on Dec. 2, 1918, a son of William E. "Buck" and Cleo Myres Damery. He was a retired senior mechanic in the Sheet Metal Shop at A.E. Staley Mfg. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Blue Mound Masonic Lodge 682 AF&AM, Bloomington Consistory, Ansar Shrine Temple in Springfield, VFW Post 99 in Decatur, and the American Legion. He married Florence M. Weybright on Jan. 13, 1940 in Blue Mound. She preceded him in death on April 16, 1986.

Surviving are his sons, Dennis G. of Metamora; Phillip L. of Blue Mound; Randy L. of Decatur; daughters, Billie D. Weaver of Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Terry (April) Patient of Hammond; brothers, Dale T. of Assumption; Richard C. of Batchelor, La.; Cecil J. of Macon; Merle E. "Moe" of Assumption; sisters, Jule C. Damery of Assumption; Aleane Morthole of Taylorville; Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Wanless of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers.
