Sarah Annabelle (Ruffner) Bayura, 86, of Forbes Road, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born June 17, 1926, in Luxor, a daughter of the late Allen Ruffner and Daisy Leonard Ruffner. She was a former employee of Orrco. Sarah loved playing bingo, lottery scratch-offs and watching the Steelers games, but never knew who had the ball. She always loved shopping with her family and had a very generous heart. Her family meant the world to her and she was the matriarch of the Bayura family. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Latrobe Hospital Third Floor staff for their compassion and care. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John "Joker" Bayura; two sons, Larry Daniels and infant son, Joey; a daughter, Nancy Lee Daniels Gray; a grandson, Mark Daniels, and two infant grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, James "Barney" Daniels and wife, Wanda, of California, Beverly Daniels Shanahan and husband, Tom, of South Park, Debbie Bayura Torau and husband, Barry, of Ligonier, Joseph Bayura and wife, Eva, of Forbes Road, and Robert Bayura and Erika Goerner, of Forbes Road; son-in-law, Bruce Gray, of Latrobe; a brother, William Ruffner and wife, Nancy, of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Faye Svetkovich and husband, Joseph, of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Peggy Ruffner, of Greensburg; a brother-in-law, Michael Bayura, of Forbes Road; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Sarah from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2013, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church. with Father Justin Matro, OSB.
