Merrill J. Reeh was born September 9, 1906 to Will and Kate Reeh. He graduated from Blair High School and attended Dana College.
He married Orpha Caldwell in 1927. They had three daughters.
He served in the United States Air Force in World War II and was commanding officer at Randolph Field in Texas. He later served in the Panama Canal Zone.
He entered medical practice as an ophthalmologist in Portland, Oregon. After retirement, he moved to Seattle.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Orpha; a daughter, Diana; parents, Kate and Will Reeh; a sister, Bernice Reeh Compton and a brother, Ben Reeh.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Reeh of Seattle; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Catherine and Don Empey, La Crescenta, California; and Georgiana and Martin Kuns of Gresham, Oregon; four grandchildren; a cousin, Lucile Smith of Blair and a sister-in-law, Teresa Reeh of Blair.
