Student Dies On Way To Hospital
POTTER—Glenn E. Meyer, 16, Brillion High School football player, and basketball prospect, died unexpectedly at about 6? p.m. Tuesday while he was being rushed to Calumet Memorial Hospital.

Meyer had complained of feeling ill at noon Monday while attending classes at Brillion High School where he was a junior and was given permission to go home. He remained in bed Tuesday and Tuesday afternoon when his mother made a routine check while he was napping, discovered he was having difficulty breathing. She called the family doctor who advised that he be rushed to the hospital. The boy died enroute in the family automobile. Calumet Coroner Leroy A. Hughes ordered an autopsy and reported that the boy had died of a form of pneumonia.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Francis Rose will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Meyer was born Dec. 30, 1942, at Manitowoc, son of Anton and Mayme Grall Meyer. He attended St. Michael parochial school at Whitelaw and after graduation entered Valders High School where he was enrolled for a year and a half. His parents then purchased the tavern at Potter and Glenn,
transferred to Brillion High School where he was a member of the football squad and had been a candidate for this year's basketball team. He was a member of St. Michael Parish and was affiliated with the Catholic Order
of Foresters.
Surviving are his parents; brother (private); sister, (private); maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Grall of Manitowoc; and a niece and nephew, (private).
