MOUNTAINSIDE — August H. Peterman, 67, of St. Petersburg, Fla., former resident here, died of a heart attack last Wednesday at his home.

Before moving to Florida a year ago, he lived in Mountainside for 35 years. He was employed as a trucker at ALCOA in Garwood for 11 years.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Minnie Keuler Peterman; two sons, John, at home and Edward stationed with the U. S. Navy at Norfolk, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. James D. Clark of Mountainside; a brother, Emil of Port Jervis and a grandson.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Gray's Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton P. Achey of Mountainside Union Chapel officiating. Clark-Hyslip Post 645, VFW, held services Sunday evening at Gray's. Bearers were members of the VFW. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
