Rev. Msgr. S. Paul Ayoub, 84, son of Mr & Mrs. Salim Ayoub, though born in Brooklyn, went with his parents to live in Palestine when he was a child. He returned to the United States in 1947 and two years later attended St. Bernard Seminary, Rochester, New York and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo, New York on May 30, 1953.

His first assignment was to the Buffalo Missionary Apostolate at St. Joseph, Bliss. In 1954, he was assigned as Assistant pastor of St. Martin, Buffalo, and served there until 1963 when he began teaching at Notre Dame High School, Batavia. While in Batavia, he served as chaplain of the Newman Center at Genesee Community College and pastor of Holy Name of Mary Church in East Pembroke.

Msgr. Ayoub was named pastor of Our Mother of Divine Grace Church in Cheektowaga and served there for more than 30 years before he retired when the parish was merged with another parish and closed.
Msgr. Ayoub lived in Florida after retirement and helped out at St. Columbkille Church in Fort Myers.
