Eileen Marie Brown Ruerup, 81, a lifelong Westfield resident, died on Friday, September 22, at home.
Mrs. Ruerup had owned Eileen's Music Shop in Scotch Plains before retiring many years ago. She was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Westfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Ruerup, former Chief of the Westfield Fire Department, in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Furchak-Saliola and Eileen Ruerup, both of Westfield; a sister, Honora Pfeiffer, also of Westfield; two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, September 25, in the Holy Trinity Church. Interment took place at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Arrangements were handled by the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Avenue in Westfield.
