She was born in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., NC, October 18, 1898; died of Influenza in Wadesboro, Anson Co., NC, October 18, 1918; buried in Kinston, Lenoir Co., NC, October 19, 1918.
He married second in Anson Co., NC, April 9, 1919, Jennie Marietta Childs, daughter of Jennie Motz (1870-1939) and Edwin Theron "E.T." Childs (1863-1942). She was born in North Carolina in September 1890; died at age 68 in Kinston, Lenoir Co., NC, May 5, 1959.
Rowland was a Lineman with Western Union Telegraph Co. when he registered for the WWI Draft in 1917 at age 29.
Rowland and Jennie had three children:
1. Rowland Kerr Faulkner, Jr., b. 1920, d. 1980; m. Sue Sutton (1926-1991)
2. Caroline Louise Faulkner, b. 1921, d. 1997; m. George Franklin Draughton (1918-2012)
