Bob, 88, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013.

He was born to Andrew Schmidt and Nellie May Bangerter in Granger, Utah, August 6, 1924 the oldest of twins.

He married his "Guardian Angel" Catherine Jane Hall, January 31, 1954. They moved to Bountiful where they raised their seven children; while attending the LDS Bountiful 10th Ward.

He enjoyed playing pool, cards, and checkers, growing tomatoes and listening to music. He delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine, children Susan Birge, Glenn (Wendy) Schmidt, Diane (Larry) Richardson, EmmaMay Dryer, and daughter-in-law Rona Schmidt, 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.; siblings Eddie (Louise) Schmidt, Louise Leary, Etha (Don) Brock, Elsie (Kay) Rigby, twin brother Andrew (Doris) Schmidt and sister-in-law Naomi Schmidt.

He was preceded in death by his sons: Wayne, Gordon and Mark, son-in-law, Robin Birge; his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Brickyard Chapel 1111 East Charlton Ave. Salt Lake City, Utah.

Friends may visit family on Wed. Mar. 27th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and at the church Thurs. from 9:30–10:30 am prior to services.

Interment Bountiful City Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
